Spread Love: 10 Calligraphers to Follow on Instagram

Tomorrow is Valentine's Day; a day especially meant for spreading love in all forms and fashion. It is also a day about romance and love notes. I think you could agree that calligraphy and lettering adds a touch of beauty and romance to written words, all the flourishes and connecting curves.

Last week I shared with you my favorite painters to follow on Instagram. Today I am sharing a few of my favorite calligraphers + brush-lettering artists to follow.

To the artists below; thank you for sharing inspiration and art. Praying both you and any blog visitors will keep on taking steps forward with your creative goals and dreams, while enjoying the process along the way.

And may the Lord make your love for one another and for all people grow and overflow, just as our love for you overflows.

I took this photo of my desk when everything had just been kind of thrown around after a day of work. It's a sentimental photo for me since it includes my box of favorite props, my favorite writing utensils, and my drink of choice (tea). This photo isn't all that pretty to look at because there's not really any composition or rule of thirds... but so is life. Most of it isn't pretty. . . I didn't really make resolutions this year, except ones that were super vague. I bought a collection of F. Scott Fitzgerald works to read and that is my "book of 2018". If I read more then good for me! I decided to plan better for my business (which is why all the workshops have already been announced) and blog 2 times a month as well as post a YouTube video 2 times a month. Overall I want to focus on paying clients more and to give them my undivided attention. So no more styled shoots for now (I'll be YouTubing about this decision eventually). . . I want to try to not look "busy" all the time. It's so tempting to strive to be busy & sometimes I feel like it's a bragging point for people. But if I always "look busy" people might think I don't have time for them or their project and I don't want that to be the case at all! - more to say on that in a blog post later. . . Now I feel like I'm just rambling. More than anything I want to focus on quality not quantity this year. I'm gonna spend less time caring what my Instagram feed looks like, and more time pouring my heart into projects & things that fill me up!
